Locations: 14 sites across UK, namely, Bristol, Harwich, Purfleet, Peterborough, Tamworth, Immingham, Glasgow, Motherwell, Chester-Le-Street, Great Yarmouth, Thrapston, Rushden, Milton Keynes and Manchester.

Project: To implement a wireless scanning system allowing warehouse operatives to simply scan bar codes when loading, unloading and storing goods enabling clients to actively track their goods.

Scope of works:

• Installation of Category 5e cabling across the 14 UK wide sites to support the Wireless scanning system.
• Installation of 107 POE Access points.
• Fibre optic cabling installations to additional cabinets which were required in 7 of the larger locations.
• Installation of POE Cisco switches and patching configured over VPNs.
• POE injectors used at smaller locations.
• All cabling Link tested and certified using the Fluke DTX 1800 cable scanner.
• All installations carried out in Live warehouses so Health and Safety management on this project was key to ensure the project went without incident and in accordance with current H&S regulations.
• Powered access equipment used by fully qualified PAL holding operatives only to comply with ISO 18878:2004 and health and safety working at height regulations 2010.
• All projects delivered early and within budget.
